The team at Annecy airport was delighted to welcome the German football team: the Mannschaft!

The UEFA European football championship took place in France for the third time this year. France, the organisers of the first tournament in 1960, hosted matches at the following venues from 10 June to 10 July 2016: Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.

Although there were no matches at Annecy, the Haute-Savoie Mont Blanc Airport was the scene of the Mannschaft’s flights!

The team is world-class, with three Euro wins in 1972, 1980 and 1996, and four World Cup wins in 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014. All the group, made up of the 23 players and the very efficient backroom staff, shared their positive outlook at the airport early this summer.

The operational team was attentive to their needs, and on hand before, during and even after each flight, with the support of the professionalism of the staff on the runway, in the control tower and from SSLIA. At Annecy Mont Blanc Airport we were delighted to welcome the German passengers on board two Dorniers328 twin-engine planes and the ATR 72 with its turboprop engine. We will have no hesitation in the future to provide them with their professional services again.

See you soon at Annecy airport!
