Savoy stage for the Tour de France 2016

Before the arrival on the Champs Elysées, the 198 riders of the Tour de France will be finishing their race at Savoie Mont Blanc!

For the 103rd race, Annecy airport is happy to provide its best services. Three planes and five helicopters for logistics and transfers are helping the event organisation from 20 to 23 July 2016.

Annecy airport; the Departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie, cycling fans, sports enthusiasts, families and tourists will all get together to support the 22 competing teams. 4,500 organisers, sports clubs, media, partners, communication professionals and service-providers will be following the "Grande Boucle” (“Big Loop”) in 2016. Showing incredible courage, the riders will travel 3,535 km in 21 stages, including 309.5 km in Savoie Mont Blanc. They will ride through Spain, Andorra, Switzerland and 35 French departments. In 2015, 10 to 12 million spectators saw the competition along the route itself, with 80% from France and 20% from overseas. Everyone helped towards the event’s success: the ASO organisation; medical and safety services; media; production; partners; advertisers; logistics teams and the spectators.

Stage 18 Thursday 21 July: 17km Sallanches / Megève (Individual time trial)

Stage 19 Friday 22 July: 146 km Albertville / Saint Gervais Mont-Blanc

Stage 20 Saturday 23 July: 146.5 km Megève / Morzine
